Delta Tau Delta was founded at Bethany College in 1858 and the Kappa Delta Chapter was founded at the College of Charleston in 2016. Delta Tau Delta regularly supports Junior Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and volunteers with the JDRF as well as local outreach programs in the Charleston community.
