The G. William Lyerly Memorial Fund for Student Research in Kinesiology supports student research within the Department of Kinesiology while honoring an admired faculty member.
Your support allows our students, who meet certain criteria, to reach beyond the classroom and attend research conferences related to exercise and sport science. By funding these experiences, you can help play a role in helping our students get their foot in the door for their future careers or academic endeavors.
Dr. George William "Will" Lyerly joined Coastal Carolina University in 2009 and taught a wide-array of courses, including exercise physiology, biomechanics, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. Throughout his 11 years of teaching and service at CCU, he sparked a passion for learning and fueled curiosity in each student he taught.
Honor the work and legacy of Dr. Lyerly by empowering our Chanticleer student researchers in the Department of Kinesiology.
