Founded in 1964, Umpqua Community College (UCC) proudly serves Douglas County, Oregon— the state's 5th largest county by land area and 9th largest by population. With a locally-controlled governance structure, UCC is supported by property taxes and governed by a dedicated board of seven locally elected members. The college boasts over 50 highly trained faculty members specializing in a wide range of fields. UCC is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), ensuring a high standard of education for all students.
The Umpqua Community College Foundation is dedicated to helping UCC transform lives by making higher education accessible to anyone who dreams of going to college and making a difference in their communities.
