Cheverus Giving Day 2026

Wow.

To the entire Cheverus community: we are truly overwhelmed by your generosity and spirit. Alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, coaches, grandparents, and friends - you showed up in a way that truly reflects the impact of a Jesuit, Catholic education, and the belief that Cheverus matters, now more than ever.

The final tally may change as we reconcile the gifts but the message of support is set in stone. 

We are so grateful—for each of you, and for the good you continue to find in Cheverus every day. Thank you.

Young Alumni just showed up in a BIG way.

100 donors. Goal met. $25,000 unlocked!

We’re honestly blown away by the response from our young alumni community (2011-2025). Your generosity, your school pride, and your willingness to stay connected to Cheverus so soon after graduation says everything about this place—and about you.

Because of you, this momentum keeps building. Because of you, today’s students benefit. Thank you!

EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR that was offered in the Tuition Assistance Match will now go directly to families. Thank you, Cheverus community, for unlocking all possible funds totaling $55,000. 

That means 550 donors made a gift to The Cheverus Fund. 

550 who people provided critical, unrestricted dollars that enable the school to be financially nimble while ALSO rising to the challenge and opening doors for more students through the match.

As of 5:26pm, 407 donors have made gifts to The Cheverus Fund, thus unlocking $40,700 for Tuition Assistance!

With  5️⃣ 0️⃣ donors, we’ve officially reached the Giving Day Faculty/Staff/Coaches challenge and unlocked $10,000 for Cheverus from an anonymous donor.

Every day, our teachers, staff, and coaches show up for our students with dedication, compassion, and a deep commitment to our mission. And today, they've have gone even further - making their own gifts to demonstrate just how much they believe in Cheverus. 

How lucky are we to lead, collaborate, and learn from one another. We are incredibly grateful.

"I'm going to the Junior Olympics."

"I laughed a lot!"

"Going to states for DRAMA."

Why 3️⃣7️⃣7️⃣ you ask? The current student body is made up to 377 Cheverians and your donations support EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.

In 2025, philanthropy accounted for 11% of the school's revenue. It may not seem like much but with an annual budget of nearly $15M, well, you do the math. 

Think about academic programming, spiritual retreats, drama productions, teacher salaries and benefits - what would you cut if you had to cut 11%?  Thankfully, we don't have to...because of all of you.

The Cheverus community is amazing!  The Lunch Block Blitz Challenge of 50 donors during lunch was met with time to spare, unlocking a $5,000 donation to The Cheverus Fund.

Cheverus Giving Day has dawned and we're kicking off the day with a caffeinated giveaway!  

One early bird donor who makes a gift between now and 9:00am ET will be randomly drawn to win a Cheverus Yeti and a Starbucks gift card.

The recipient will be announced soon so stay tuned!

The eighth annual Cheverus Giving Day kicks off tomorrow and our donor challenges and Stag Swag are more exciting than ever!

If ye’ haven’t donated in a few years, what better time than St. Paddy’s Day to resume contributin’. Any donation to the Cheverus Fund will “unlock” 68.93 Irish pounds of tuition assistance.    

Let’s add a lot more names more to the list before the last pint o’ Guiness is hoisted this evenin’. If you don’t choose to make a Givin’ Day donation that is yer prerogative, but don’t be surprised if St. Patrick tells St. Nick to put yer name on th’ naughty list and ye wind up with a lump o’ coal (or slice o’ peat) in yer Christmas stockin’ this year.
