About

Many of Catholic Central’s 41 endowed scholarships were established in honor of people who are integral to the CC community. Willie Butler, Joe Lauria ‘60, Jared Pilczuk ‘17, Rob Rosenbach ‘04, and the Ziemke family have had and continue to have an immeasurable impact on the fabric of our school.

The Willie Butler Encounter Diversity Scholarship: For decades, Willie Butler was an integral part of the Catholic Central community. Articles from CC’s archives recount his cheerful nature, his love of Catholic Central, and his deep, abiding faith in Christ. Today, Willie’s spirit lives on through The Willie Butler Encounter Diversity Endowed Scholarship, providing tuition assistance to African American students with a passion for education and spirituality. Dollar for dollar match up to $20,000.

The Joe Lauria Memorial Scholarship Fund: The Laurias are the quintessential multi-generational CC family; their legacy has flourished at Catholic Central for decades. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Joe ‘60 believed in the importance of Catholic education and was a strong supporter of St. Paul the Apostle and Catholic Central. He and his wife Kathy ‘60 sent all five of their children to Catholic Central – Michael ‘84; Chris ‘85; Greg ‘89; John ‘91, and Annette ‘95. One generation later, four of their grandchildren - Alexis ‘18; Josephine ‘19; Hannah ‘20; and Ruby ‘21 - have graduated from CC, with two more currently enrolled. Dollar for dollar match up to $5,000.

Jared T. Pilczuk Lifetime of Service Memorial Fund: Jared ‘17 dedicated his all-too-short life to serving others. He embodied Catholic Central’s mission: he was truly a servant leader living a Christ-centered life. This recently established scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate, like Jared did, a love of their faith and commitment to the service of others. Dollar for dollar match up to $25,000.

Rob Rosenbach Memorial Scholarship: Rob Rosenbach ‘04 lit up every room with a smile, loved and cared for everyone with passion, and lived a life in service of others. At Rob’s passing almost nine years ago, the Rosenbach and Saganski Families started a scholarship fund at Catholic Central in his honor. This scholarship provides tuition assistance to a deserving Catholic Central student and also honors Rob’s legacy of kindness and compassion, inspiring current and future Catholic Central students to be a shining light for others. Dollar for dollar match up to $15,000.

The Ziemke Family Scholarship: The Ziemke Family so appreciated the Catholic Central education that their children received, (Paul '08, David '10 and Jordan '15) that they created this endowed scholarship in 2014 to benefit students who would not otherwise be able to attend CC. This scholarship is awarded to students who go above and beyond in their pursuit of becoming servant leaders pursuing a Christ-centered life. Dollar for dollar match up to $25,000.

Last fiscal year, CC awarded $1.7 million in financial aid to 44% of CC families. The 41 endowed scholarships that granted nearly $100,000 in tuition assistance are a critical component of this financial aid.

We are in the quiet phase of Ignite Our Future, a $15 million comprehensive campaign that will raise funds for faculty and staff salaries, enhanced classroom space, CAT tennis court reconstruction, and tuition assistance through our endowment. All gifts to any one of the above endowed scholarships will be counted towards the campaign’s $15 million goal.

We invite you to prayerfully consider supporting one, or more, of these featured endowed scholarships; gifts of any amount to any one of these scholarships will help ensure that current and future students can pursue a Catholic Central education.
