Through the Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholar Development, undergraduate students in every major can pursue faculty-mentored research and creative inquiry in a variety of programs during the summer and academic year.

By contributing to this fund, you enable students to pursue groundbreaking research and creative inquiry projects, adding depth and breadth to their undergraduate studies. Your generous gift allows us to continue offering transformative opportunities such as:

• Fellowships that fund full-time summer undergraduate research in Pittsburgh.
• Grants for research costs such as lab supplies, arts materials and human subjects research.
• Fellowships that allow students to leverage their Federal Work-Study for paid research positions.
• Travel awards that enable undergraduates to present at academic conferences across the United States and internationally.
• Workshops and events that help students build research and communication skills and share their work, such as our annual Meeting of the Minds undergraduate research symposium.
