Please consider a gift to the Bangladeshi Student Organization this Giving CMU Day!
Falgun Utshab is a vibrant celebration of the arrival of spring. Rooted in Bangladeshi tradition, this festival marks the first day of the month of Falgun, when nature comes alive with colors, flowers and festivity. The event will bring together students, faculty and community members to experience the warmth and cultural richness of Bangladesh.
The evening will feature a cultural gala showcasing music, dance and poetry inspired by spring and Bangladeshi heritage. Alongside the performances, guests will enjoy traditional foods, with a special focus on Pitha — a variety of handmade rice cakes that are a staple of Falgun celebrations. To add to the festive spirit, there will also be fun games and activities, creating an inclusive environment where everyone can take part in the joy of the season.
Through Falgun Utshab, CMU BSO aims to highlight the beauty of Bangladeshi traditions while fostering cross-cultural connections within the CMU community.
Membership in this student organization and participation in its programs/activities are available to all students at the University, regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, or any other protected class.
