About

Founded in 2006 as the world's first academic department of its kind, the Machine Learning Department leads the development of the discipline with pioneering research in the field of artificial intelligence. Generative and transformative tools will power the future of computing, and machine learning technologies underpin all the learning, evaluation and improvement of these systems.

At this time of major progress and fast-moving change in AI and machine learning, ensuring the best and brightest graduate students can join our department is more vital than ever. Your Giving CMU Day contribution to the Machine Learning Graduate Fellowship Fund directly supports these talented students, many of whom may not otherwise be able to attend CMU.

Machine Learning graduate degrees change lives and change the world, and your gift helps expand access to them.
