Your gift to the Compute Fund this Giving CMU Day will help secure and maintain the computational power we need to drive groundbreaking research.

At MLD, our goal is that all PhD students in the department or working with MLD faculty have access to sufficient computational power: at least 8 GPUs on demand, and a much larger amount when needed to truly scale up. We’ve invested significant department funds to build a cluster that meets this need. However, because the immense size requires offsite hosting, we pay ongoing support costs that most traditional funding sources or typical research funding will not cover.
