Student Financial Aid

College financial aid helps students and their families by covering higher education expenses such as tuition as fees. Examples of financial aid include:

• Grants
• Scholarships
• Federal and private loans
• Work-study

There are two types of aid: need-based and merit-based. Federal aid is determined by a family's ability to pay for college after a student completes the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Merit-based can be awarded by an institution, college or private organization to a student for a specific talent, athletic or academic ability.

The mission of Carl Sandburg College is to provide all students with opportunities for success. Part of making education an opportunity is making it affordable. The Foundation welcomes donations of any amount to enhance a Sandburg students' experiences and help them achieve success.
