The idea and importance of "community" has been transformed over the course of the last year. As we've been distant as individuals, the need to support one another has only increased. From congregations to neighborhoods, workplaces to parks, we've sought out ways to stay connected with what matters to us.
As we prepare to celebrate Trinity Sunday, we're asking alumni and friends of Trinity Lutheran Seminary at Capital University to show their own unity! Being a donor sends a powerful message of support to current seminarians and the faculty who educate them. Your generosity--no matter the size of the gift--strengthens programs, celebrates our seminary community, and helps form leaders for Christ’s church at work in the world.
As this challenge is about coming together to support the seminary's community, hymnwriter Richard Leach offers a perfect invitation in “Come, Join the Dance of Trinity.” Will you join in the dance? Please show your solidarity as a member of Trinity's family by making a gift to the Trinity Fund.
Be a donor and be "All in for Trinity"!
That's a goal hit and passed! You and more than 60 other donors showed you are All in for Trinity during the seminary's first donor challenge. We are so very thankful for your support.
This truly was an effort from all areas of Trinity's extended family. Gifts came from not just alumni, faculty, and staff, but also from a large number of friends from the community--caring individuals who understand the impact that Trinity's mission goes on to have in the church and in the world. We're delighted to welcome a number of new donors as well. We even had some students and parents take part!
Speaking of students, we can't stress enough what your support means to them. Take it from current student Ian Boden, who has just completed his second year:
Thank you again being #InForTrinity and for your generous support of Trinity Lutheran Seminary at Capital University.
1451 days ago by Dustin GrovemillerWelcome to the donors we've added since yesterday's update! Thank you so much for making a gift and being All in for Trinity.
To share some insight on how your support helps today's students--and the experience they have studying at Trinity--we asked Pastor Julie Hutson to share her perspective. Not only is she the seminary's Director of Contextual Education, she's also a Trinity alumna who felt drawn back to her alma mater to help our students succeed.
We’re thrilled with all the support we’ve received so far. We’ve seen representation from across decades of alumni—but no class year or decade has emerged yet to lead the charge. If you haven't nudged an old friend or classmate to give yet, you still have plenty of time. (Be sure to check out the advocacy tools built into the challenge site!)Thank you again for your gracious support of Trinity Lutheran Seminary at Capital University.
1452 days ago by Dustin GrovemillerWe are so grateful for the support we've received so far today! All in for Trinity is a donor challenge, but is also about your advocacy for the seminary's mission as well as its students, faculty, and staff.
Pam Bauser, Chair of Trinity's Advisory Board, recorded a great reminder of why donor support is important. As we continue to add donors to the challenge, you can help us along by sharing your own updates with friends and classmates. Encouraging others to take part is a powerful way to support the impact of your own generosity.
Thank you again for being All in for Trinity!
