The Cal State San Bernardino athletic department is off to a strong start to the 2025-26 academic year, as all four of our fall teams qualified for CCAA postseason play for the first time in program history. CSUSB men’s and women’s basketball are also off and running on their 2025-26 seasons, with four more teams starting their spring seasons right around the corner.
Some highlights from the fall season:
Women’s cross country earned its first All-CCAA selection since 2022 when senior Kai Marroquin placed 14th overall at the CCAA Championships in October.
Women’s soccer qualified for the CCAA Tournament for the first time since 2016 after finishing fourth in the conference. They finished the year with a record of 8-6-5 and earned two First Team All-Conference selections in forward Bella Cervantes and center back Sakiah Williams, and also received CCAA Newcomer of the Year in Raylene Alcaraz.
Men’s soccer qualified for the CCAA and NCAA Tournaments, and will face Point Loma in the second round of the NCAAs on Saturday, November 22. The Yotes received one First Team All-Conference selection, captain Tony Negrete.
The women’s volleyball team is two wins away from their seventh CCAA Tournament Championship, as they qualified for the tourney as two seed after a thrilling five-set victory over Cal State Los Angeles in their regular season finale. They’ve earned a bye into the semifinals, and will open play on Friday, November 21.
