Gifts to Fast-track Emerging Opportunities contribute to...

When you support the College of Business at Cal State Monterey Bay, you invest in a college that’s moving forward with purpose to develop socially responsible, career-ready graduates who strengthen our regional communities and economy. Through the Dean’s Office Special Projects & Research Fund, we invest in high-impact initiatives that advance student success, faculty innovation, and community engagement across the Central Coast. Gifts to this fund support emerging opportunities that do not always fit neatly into existing budgets but are critical to our mission. These include student research and experiential learning projects, faculty-led innovation and applied research, pilot programs in responsible business and workforce development, and strategic initiatives that respond to evolving regional and industry needs. Your support helps us move quickly when opportunity arises — empowering socially responsible, career-ready students, strengthening partnerships with local industry and community organizations, and fostering innovation grounded in ethics, equity, and impact. Together, we can ensure that the College of Business continues to be a place where purpose meets possibility — and where education truly makes a difference.

All university programs and activities are open and available to all regardless of race, sex, color, ethnicity or national origin. Consistent with California law and federal civil rights laws, Cal State Monterey Bay provides equal opportunity in education and employment without unlawful discrimination or preferential treatment based on race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin. Our commitment to equal opportunity means ensuring that every student and employee has access to the resources and support they need to thrive and succeed in a university environment and in their communities. As CSUMB’s Day of Giving comes to a close, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported the College of Business today. Your generosity helps ensure that our students have access to the experiences, mentorship, and opportunities that prepare them to lead with integrity, resilience, and impact. It also allows us to invest in innovative ideas and partnerships that strengthen our region and reflect our commitment to responsible business.
If you are still considering a gift, there is time to participate before the day ends. Every contribution matters, and together we are demonstrating the true Strength of Us.
Thank you for standing with our students and our community.
With appreciation,

Dear Friends,
Thank you to everyone who has already participated in #OttersGive today. Your support is making a real difference.
Because of donors like you, the College of Business can support hands-on student research, experiential learning projects, faculty-led innovation, and partnerships that connect education to real-world challenges across the Central Coast. These opportunities are often the moments that change a student’s trajectory, helping them persist, graduate, and step confidently into meaningful careers.
If you haven’t yet had a chance to give, there is still time to join us today. Together, we are investing in access, opportunity, and the next generation of responsible business leaders.
Thank you for being part of this momentum.
Warmly,
Suzanne
