Seniors, our time at Caltech has been both momentous and memorable—and filled with experiences we will never forget. We're almost at the finish line. Graduation is just around the corner!
One of the honored traditions seniors participate in before graduating from Caltech is the Senior Class Gift.
Caltech's 2023 Senior Class broke a record for participation with over 53% of seniors giving. In 2026, we have a goal to beat this record and picked a new cause that they support to contribute funds.
Caltech has a rich history of giving back for over 76 years to alumni, professors, and students who benefit from the Senior Class Gift in the future.
This year, the 2026 Senior Class is choosing to plant a Blood Orange tree along the iconic Orange Walk on campus. With this gift, we will be directly supporting an ongoing effort to plant more edible fruit trees on campus, and our tree will benefit the campus community for decades to come. We will also have a plaque honoring our class gift in front of the treee.
As your class leaders, we look forward to your participation in the program and enjoy some friendly competition as the houses compete with some fun surprises on the way!

As your class leaders, we invite everyone to participate as well as encourage other students. Together, we can do it!
Starting in May, we're officially running a house challenge to increase participation. If we beat 40% participation across the entire senior class, we will unlock more than $500 in additional challenge funds. So, get your house involved! Gifts provided by members of the Senior Class in a particular house, at any point between now and the contest end in May, will count in the numbers for the House Challenge Competition. While we encourage all gifts to support our new orange tree, contributions from students in other years of study in a particular house will not be included in the House Challenge Competition but will be added to the overall amount for the Senior Class Gift for the Class of 2026.
