The Kari Marboe Endowed Lectureship will be established by family and friends through the creation of a $100,000 endowed fund in honor of Kari’s gift for inspiring students to find their passions, open their practices, and connect with the community.
The funds will support CCA’s programs with an annual lecture emphasizing interdisciplinary practice in the arts. In keeping with Marboe’s educational philosophy, these lectures will convene the CCA community, particularly first-year students, with a broad array of artists to encourage collaboration within and beyond the college.
Kari Marboe was an accomplished artist, known for the care and individualized attention that characterized her teaching. She fostered the exploration of rigorous and innovative research and the power of working between programs. This lectureship supports her approach, providing funds to continue these conversations and carry on Marboe’s commitment to expanding horizons and transforming ideas into practice. Her legacy will be celebrated in perpetuity, to inspire artistic futures founded on strength, laughter, and creative inquiry – values that embody the CCA mission.
Every donation between now and December 31st will be matched by an anonymous donor, up to $10,000! Your gift can inspire more giving and have double the impact. Please consider joining this community of supporters and make a gift today.
On September 30, CCA came together as a community to remember Kari's bright spirit and the indelible mark she made on our lives. Here is the recording of the stories and moments shared that day.
