“College athletics and the sport of swimming and diving continue to evolve, but what doesn't change are the great opportunities for growth and development that being a member of the Bucknell Swimming and Diving team provides to its members. Those opportunities are not possible without your support. Your generosity allows us to offer great experiences to our student-athletes which enable them to learn and grow.” - Head Coach Dan Schinnerer
The Bison men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams put forth strong postseason performances, claiming numerous medals, awards, and school records at the Patriot League and ECAC Championships. At the 2026 Patriot League Championships at Navy, the Bucknell women finished a solid third behind Navy and Army, highlighted by gold-medal performances from Kelly Byrne in the 400 IM and Clara Renner in the 200 butterfly. Byrne also took home a bronze medal in the mile and finished as the team's top point-scorer in the meet. Freshman Tori Castro broke the school record in the 100 fly and swam the opening leg of the record-setting 200 free relay. The Bison also set a school record in the 200 medley relay on the opening night of the competition. The Bucknell men finished in fifth place in the 10-team field, highlighted by a pair of new school records. James Lombardi broke the seven-year-old school record in the 100 breaststroke, while diver Jack Krug shattered a 21-year-old standard on the 1-meter board. Bucknell hosted the ECAC Championships for the first time, and the women finished second after winning the title in 2025, and the men placed fifth. The teams also continue to excel academically. Last fall, the Bison women compiled a stellar 3.60 GPA, while the men combined for a 3.29.
