"Bucknell Wrestling donors not only champion the dreams of our student-athletes, both on and off the mat, but they also play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our program. Your generosity creates a meaningful experience for our wrestlers, fostering an environment where they can thrive and excel while earning a Bucknell degree. To our alumni, parents and friends: we extend our deepest gratitude for your continued support as valued members of our Bucknell Wrestling family. Your commitment ensures that current and future generations of Bison wrestlers can boldly pursue their aspirations. GO BISON!" - Head Coach Dan Wirnsberger
The Bucknell wrestling team turned in a strong showing at the 2025 EIWA Championships at Lehigh. The Bison placed fifth as a team and claimed eight placewinners in the 10 weight classes. Leading the way was senior Kurt Phipps, who won the 133-pound title to become Bucknell’s fifth EIWA champion. Phipps, Dylan Chappell (141-pound runner-up), Noah Mulvaney (165-pound runner-up), and Dillon Bechtold (197-pound runner-up) all earned automatic bids to the NCAA Championships, and later in the week Myles Takats (174-pound 5th place) pocketed an at-large berth. This will be the second year in a row the Bison have five wrestlers at NCAAs. The Bison performed well in the classroom last semester, with the team combining for a 3.20 GPA.
