Gifts to Women's Basketball (Fast Break Club) contribute to...

"We feel privileged at Bucknell to be surrounded by a community of steadfast friends, families, alumni and fans dedicated to enhancing the quality of experience for the women in our basketball program. Contributing to the Fast Break Club during One Herd One Day stands out as the most impactful way to support our student-athletes, leaving an enduring mark on their journey. To everyone who generously gives today and throughout the year, your commitment plays a pivotal role in our continued success. Thank you for being a driving force behind our achievements." - Head Coach Trevor Woodruff
It has been a banner decade for the Bison women's basketball program, and after a couple of down seasons, the Bison tied for fourth place and made a run to the Patriot League Tournament semifinals in 2024-25. Led by sophomore sensation Ashley Sofilkanich, the 2025 Patriot League Player of the Year, this year’s team overcame key injuries to win 17 games and finish 11-7 in league play. Trevor Woodruff’s squad has relied on suffocating defense, strong interior play, and timely shooting to return to prominence. The Bison recently enjoyed a run of nine straight winning seasons and six straight 20-win seasons. From 2015-16 through 2021-22, the Bison fashioned a 159-47 record, including an eye-popping 100-16 conference ledger. Bucknell won league titles and made NCAA Tournament appearances in 2017 and 2019, and the team was favored again in both of the pandemic-impacted seasons. Just as strong in the classroom as on the hardwood, the team compiled an outstanding 3.50 GPA in the fall 2024 semester.
