Gifts to Water Polo contribute to...

"Your dedication and support mean the world to Bucknell Water Polo and our student-athletes. Your generosity is what makes a genuine Division I experience possible for these athletes at our exceptional, academically-driven university. The growth and experiences facilitated by alumni, parents and friends are shaping the future Bison ambassadors of Bucknell Water Polo. Thank you for making a lasting impact on our men's and women's programs." - Head Coach John McBride
The Bison water polo teams have traditionally ranked among the best in the East. The men's squad has made three NCAA Tournament appearances in the last nine seasons, including runs to the national quarterfinals in the fall of 2019 and spring of 2021. Those league-championship squads were led by three-time All-American Rade Joksimovic, who in 2019 was one of three finalists for the national player of the year award. This past fall, the men’s team finished 7-7 in the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference. After dropping a first-round game in the MAWPC Tournament, the Bison battled back with two wins to grab fifth place. Matt Ryckman and Aleksa Stefanovic both earned Honorable Mention All-America honors. The women’s squad is looking to rebound from a couple of difficult seasons record-wise, but the Bison jumped out to a 9-1 start this spring. Brown hosts the CWPA Championship Apr. 25-27. Head coach John McBride is an assistant coach with the U.S. Men’s National Team, and he returned from the Paris Olympics with a bronze medal last summer.
