Gifts to Baseball contribute to...

"Many of the capabilities we offer as a program to our present players stem from the backing we receive from those who came before them. This reflects the appreciation our alumni have for the experiences at Bucknell and their sense of accomplishment in contributing to what subsequent generations can achieve. We express gratitude to all who have worn the Orange & Blue, as well as our parents, families and friends for their contributions in advancing Bison Baseball." - Head Coach Scott Heather
The Bison baseball team advanced to the Patriot League Tournament championship series in 2022 and 2023, and last year the squad fell at Army in a gut-wrenching three-game semifinal series. Scott Heather’s ballclub has won at least 22 games in each of the last three seasons. The 2025 team must replace several big bats, most notably Patriot League Player of the Year and CSC Academic All-American Sean Keys. The big third baseman with a sweet lefty swing was one of the best hitters in the country in 2024, and last July he was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the fourth round (125th overall) of the MLB Draft. Keys became the 13th Bucknell player to be taken in the MLB Draft and the highest draft pick by round in team history. The Bison also graduated All-Patriot League outfielders Jacob Corson and Grant Voytovich, but the returning lineup features two-time All-PL second baseman Billy Kender, veteran first baseman Tyler Dunn, and rising stars Michael Trommer and 2024 PL Rookie of the Year Chris Morabito. Senior Tyler O’Neill is the ace of a pitching staff that features a number of hard-throwing young arms. The Bison have already shown their potential this spring with non-league wins over ACC foes Virginia Tech and Pittsburgh. The baseball squad also excelled academically in the fall, with a 3.45 team GPA that was one of the best among all Bucknell men's programs. Senior shortstop Brady Karp has a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA in finance and is one of the top students in the entire Class of 2025.
