Gifts to Track & Field (Spiked Shoe) contribute to...

"I extend my gratitude to everyone who supports the Spiked Shoe Club through the One Herd One Day giving initiative. Your generous contributions, today and throughout the year, enable our program to flourish and offer competitive opportunities across all levels of our lineups. Furthermore, they afford us the privilege of acquiring top-notch equipment for both practice sessions and competitions held at our home meets. Your support helps to provide an incredible student-athlete experience at Bucknell. Thank you for making a difference and Go Bison!" - Head Coach Kevin Donner
Bucknell's men's and women's cross country/track and field program has a long and proud history of winning championships with record-setting performances over the last several decades. The Patriot League landscape has changed in more recent times, with the two service academies drastically increasing their track and field resources on the heels of the league's addition of a strong Boston University program. While championships have been more difficult to come by, the Bison have still seen numerous historic performances over the last few seasons. Recent highlights include Maura Fiamoncini placing third at the NCAA Championships and seventh at the U.S. Olympic Trials in the javelin throw in 2021, and Rayven Sample representing Team USA at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo that same year. Headlining this year’s record-setters are seniors Meghan Quinn and Karen Hull, who both captured gold medals at the 2024 Patriot League Indoor Championships. With a full outdoor season still to come, Quinn has already broken eight school records. Hull now owns four school marks after breaking the indoor records in the high jump and long jump this winter. On the men’s side, Ethan Wolford-Tuffy shattered the Gerhard Fieldhouse record in the 400-meter dash at the Bison Open and then he broke the school record in the 400 at the Patriot League Championships. The 4x800 relay also set a new school mark. Both Bison track and field teams fared well academically in the fall semester with the men's squad combining for a 3.20 GPA and the women putting together an outstanding 3.63 GPA, which tied for second-best in the department behind only women’s basketball’s 3.64.
