The Seahawk Marketplace Food Pantry has served more than 2,000 students so far this year, and the need for food assistance shows no sign of slowing down.
Hunger is a reality faced by many students at Broward College. Whether our students skip a meal because they are low on funds or they don't consume enough quality food, without access to nutritious meals, it can be difficult to focus on learning – especially when you don’t know where your next meal will come from.

Giving the gift of education can be a heartfelt way to celebrate someone important in your life, whether a friend, loved one, or recent graduate.
The third Seahawk Marketplace (food pantry) on North Campus has opened in Building 46, Room 113 to help students facing food insecurity. The Seahawk Marketplace is a free food and hygiene pantry that is available for ALL registered Broward College students and their families. From the partnership with The Florida Blue Foundation as well as Feeding South Florida, we are able to offer students and their families weekly access to perishable items, such as fruits, vegetables, dairy, and meats, as well as nonperishable food items and hygiene products. The only requirement is to be a Broward College student.
Since opening in August 2023, the college has already welcomed more than 300 brand new student shoppers to the Broward College Marketplace on North Campus, and have seen over 800 students all together since opening our doors.
