Together with members of the community and local organizations, the Waltham Group implements change through community development and empowerment. Through service, education, and outreach Waltham Group’s mission is to ameliorate disparities in the community.
The Waltham Group fosters leadership skills, altruistic and logistical thinking, and meaningful experiences for our student leaders and volunteers. As a Brandeis alum, you know the importance of supporting current students. The Waltham Group Alumni Network (WGAN) encourages you to make a gift on Giving DEISday to support the work of the Waltham Group. This year, the WGAN Board has generously sponsored a challenge worth $2,000 and it will unlock when we secure 40 donors.
We just reached 1,948 donors to Brandeis and unlocked an additional $200,000 for Brandeis! Thank you to everyone who gave so generously in support of our students.
The site will remain open through Homecoming Weekend as other challenges are on the cusp of unlocking more bonus funds!
- GSAS needs 20 donors to unlock $1,800
- The Alumni Board Challenge will unlock $135,000 when we receive 6 more donors to The Brandeis Fund or General Scholarships!
- All gifts to General Scholarships will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $50,000!

Some areas of campus still have challenges at play:

| • | Heller needs 6 donors to reach a $5,000 bonus! |
| • | When 9 donors give to any diversity scholarship it will unlock $25,000! |
| • | And when 70 alumni give to The Brandeis Fund or General Scholarships (which are being matched, dollar for dollar!), it will unlock $135,000 thanks to the Alumni Association Board of Directors. |

Athletics Challenges Still in Play
- Tennis needs $750 to unlock $750
- Men's Basketball or XCTF could unlock $1,000 with as few as 23 donors each
- Swimming and Diving needs 23 donors to unlock $1,000
And ultimately, you can give wherever you'd like and support what you feel most connected to. It all adds up and helps us unlock an additional $100,000 for Brandeis!
