About

The Rose Art Museum, one of the nation’s premier university museums, fosters community, experimentation, and scholarship through direct engagement with modern and contemporary art, artists, and ideas. Serving as an inclusive nexus for art and social justice at Brandeis University and beyond, the museum presents groundbreaking exhibitions, innovative programming, and opportunities for students to connect with the leading artists and creatives of our time.

Seeking to activate the power of art and ideas to collectively build a more just and equitable world, the Rose establishes critical partnerships with Brandeis’s various schools, departments, centers, and programs to benefit our students.

Your Giving DEISday donation directly supports student access to the museum’s collection and resources, provides professional development opportunities, and offers free admission for all.

Next time you’re on campus, please drop by to see our current exhibitions!

  • re: collections, Six Decades at the Rose Art Museum displays artworks by iconic and emerging artists from the permanent collection, challenging art historical conventions and uncovering new narratives.
  • Peter Sacks: Resistance is an immersive installation by South African artist Peter Sacks, which pays tribute to resistors of oppression and transmits their legacies to future generations.
  • Frida Kahlo at the Rose Art Museum presents an intimate and rare display of three self-portraits by the path-breaking Mexican artist, along with photographs highlighting Kahlo's self-fashioned identity.
  • Mark Dion: The Undisciplined Collector, a permanent installation, evokes the year of the Rose Art Museum's founding and serves as an introduction to the rich history of collecting at Brandeis University.

Our Challenge just DOUBLED to $200K for 1,948 donors!

Trustee Madalyn Friedberg just committed an additional $100,000 to reach 1,948 donors to Brandeis! Now when we do, it will unlock $200,000!

Some areas of campus still have challenges at play:

Give to GSAS to unlock $1,800!
Waltham Group needs 9 donors to earn $2,000!
Heller needs 6 donors to reach a $5,000 bonus!
When 9 donors give to any diversity scholarship it will unlock $25,000!
And when 70 alumni give to The Brandeis Fund or General Scholarships (which are being matched, dollar for dollar!), it will unlock $135,000 thanks to the Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Thank you so much for your support!
