THE GOLDIN GATEWAY
Named in honor of Ken and Pat Goldin, whose lives embodied generosity, commitment, and
devotion to Bradley University, the Goldin Gateway stands as a symbol of hospitality, heritage,
and hope.
For more than fifty years, Ken Goldin served Bradley as a student, alumnus, administrator,
ambassador, and friend.
Following three years of service in the United States Army, Ken began his lifelong association
with Bradley in 1958 as a custodian in the Student Center. While working full-time, he earned a
Bachelor of Science in Management in 1964 and a Master of Science in Secondary Education in
1972. Grateful for the encouragement and opportunities he received, he dedicated his career
to helping others achieve the same success.
Throughout a career spanning more than half a century, Ken enriched the Bradley experience
for countless students, faculty, staff, alumni, and visitors. Rising through positions of increasing
responsibility to become the University's Business Manager, he became one of Bradley's most
trusted leaders and recognized ambassadors, strengthening the bond between the University
and the Peoria community he loved.
Affectionately known as “Moose,” Ken's warmth, humor, integrity, and gift for bringing people
together reflected the very best of Bradley. His unwavering support for Bradley Basketball and
deep commitment to students and alumni brought Braves together across generations through
shared pride and tradition.
That same spirit of service was shared by his wife, Pat, who devoted more than twenty years to
Bradley University Housing. As an office manager, she helped create a warm and nurturing
environment where students felt cared for, supported, and valued. For many, she was a trusted
mentor and caring presence whose influence extended well beyond the residence halls she
helped shape.
Together, Ken and Pat built a remarkable Bradley legacy that continues through their
daughters, Molly and Kelly, both Bradley alumnae. Through decades of steadfast stewardship
and philanthropy, including the establishment of the Pat and Ken Goldin Endowed Scholarship,
the Goldin family strengthened the University, expanded opportunities for future students, and
left an enduring mark on the Bradley community.
