Founded in 1945 and re-established as a student organization in 1992, BGSU Club Fencing carries a proud tradition of skill, strategy, and sportsmanship. Since 2003, the team has competed in the Midwestern Fencing Conference, facing top programs like The Ohio State University, the University of Michigan, Notre Dame, and others. In addition, members have the opportunity to compete nationally through the United States Fencing Association, expanding their experience beyond the collegiate level.
With a mission to grow the sport of fencing in Northwest Ohio, the club fosters personal growth, leadership, and camaraderie in an environment where athletes of all skill levels can thrive. Through competition, training, and shared experiences, members build lasting friendships and continue a legacy of excellence.
