The Falcon Marching Band has reached a historic milestone, growing to 425 members, making it the largest in BGSU’s history and one of the largest collegiate marching bands in the country! With this growth, we need resources to ensure all of our talented musicians have what they need to succeed.
As part of our Banding Together initiative, we are working to raise $1.5 million to upgrade our current grass practice field to a state-of-the-art turf surface. This upgrade will provide the band with a more durable and efficient practice space.
Thanks to the generosity of many, the goal has been reached and the match established by the generous gift from Board of Trustees Chair Drew Forhan ’81 and President Rodney Rogers ’81 has been fulfilled in support of the Falcon Marching Band Field Project.
Through this combined support and the Banding Together initiative, the Falcon Marching Band will have the facilities needed to accommodate its incredible size and talent well into the future. This investment ensures that Bowling Green State University continues to provide exceptional resources for students and preserves the band’s legacy of excellence.
