Your contributions to the Newbury Center will significantly impact the lives of our first-generation students. Located at 755 Commonwealth Ave, it opened its doors in January 2021 with the goal of fostering the holistic success of first-generation students at Boston University—students we proudly refer to as “Terrier F1RSTS.” Since then, it has become a nationally recognized model of excellence, offering programming and services designed to ensure that first-generation students experience the same well-being, belonging, self-efficacy, and academic accomplishment as their continuing-generation peers.
