Earth & Environment Department

The Earth & Environment Department Fund supports transformative, hands-on learning experiences for Boston University students. With 76 unique courses, 35 world-class faculty members, and over 1,000 students from across the entire university enrolling in our courses each semester, the department is dedicated to exploring critical environmental challenges through education and research. Donations to this fund make it possible for students to participate in:

• Field trips to locations like Cape Cod, Arnold Arboretum, Deer Island, Harvard Forest, and beyond.
• Fieldwork opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students.
• Senior theses, allowing students to pursue independent, in-depth research projects.

These experiences connect classroom learning with real-world applications, equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to address environmental challenges and build a more sustainable future.
