The Boston University Graduate Program in Urban Biogeoscience and Environmental Health (BU URBAN) trains graduate students across departments and disciplines to tackle pressing urban environmental challenges. Through a convergent approach to research and partnerships with policymakers, the private sector, and community organizations, we prepare graduate students for multiple career paths after graduation. Students and faculty in our program examine the various ways humans are impacting our environment and how, in turn, the environment is impacting our health—from air pollution and poor water quality to extreme heat and social stressors.
BU URBAN projects have already influenced policy and practice at the city, state, and national levels—and with your support, our students can go even further. Your Giving Day donation will support student research, internships, and travel to conferences, which will provide hands-on experience at the intersection of science, policy, and sustainability.
Giving Day is Boston University’s biggest fundraising event of the year. Thank you for investing in our growth and in a more just and sustainable future.
