The Elie Wiesel Center for Jewish Studies seeks to honor the legacy of Elie Wiesel through the education of students and research in Jewish Studies and Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Studies. Generous donations allow us to fund scholarships and research trips for students, employ visiting faculty, and invite guest speakers to events for both Boston University and the wider community.
Over the past year, donors have enabled us to hold over 10 community events, including our annual International Holocaust Remembrance Day program and Struggling for Peace, a profound lecture with Prof. André De Quadros. We are expanding our courses in Jewish History and Israel Studies, as well as offering new classes on antisemitism. As we look ahead, we are grateful for the continued support that allows the Elie Wiesel Center to carry on Prof. Wiesel's hope of advancing Jewish Studies and Human Rights Studies through community-building and education.
