Our goal is to raise $5,500 to cover travel expenses, conference fees, and other items to fuel our graduate students all the way to DevLearn and DemoFest to put on the best presentations in front of hundreds of people and keep our eight year winning streak alive.
For the past few years, the Instructional Design and Technology program (IDT) has taken a group of students to several industry conferences. These conference experiences provide students with an opportunity to showcase their talent and highlight what they’ve learn, and show off our program to others. Our students provide such high-quality presentations and eLearning prototypes that they have won the student competition at DevLearn every year they’ve entered. That’s over 8 years! And in 2024, a student won Best-in-Show: Non-Vendor, that’s not a student award, that’s an industry award.
Speaking and presenting at the industry conference not only provides students with a rich academic experience. It also provides them with a life experience. Some of the students who attend have never even been on an airplane or even out of PA.
Our representation by the students elevates the program in the eyes of the industry and provide a rich opportunity for visibility and recognition of our program making degrees from the instructional technology program even more valuable as alumni.
We are doing everything we can to raise the funds for this trip and we need your help! We appreciate all your support in helping us spread our talent beyond PA.
