Theatre & Dance

Theatre and Dance at CU-Bloomsburg gives students the opportunity to participate in hands-on learning experiences that expands their skills in creative and critical thinking, problem solving, and collaboration. We strive to develop artists who are imaginative critical thinkers and effective communicators producing art that celebrates humanity and challenges complacency.

We seek support to further student learning through theatre and dance mainstage productions, student led productions, visiting guest professional artists, and opportunities to experience professional productions throughout our region at performing arts venues and college theatre festivals. The direct impact of support includes scholarships for students, production supplies to enhance student learning, and specialty workshops that enhance the classroom experience with extraordinary opportunities.

The CU-Bloomsburg students benefiting from support for theatre and dance include theatre majors, theatre minors, dance minors, and the thousands of general education students who are involved in our productions, attend our shows, and take general education courses in theatre and dance.
