The Bloomsburg men’s and women’s cross country programs have been a staple for the Huskies since 1932 when men’s cross country joined the athletic department. Over the years, the Huskies have finished as high as third on the men’s side during the PSAC Cross Country championship meet and have sent two complete teams to the NCAA Championships.

The women’s cross country team began in 1980 and has one PSAC Championship, one NCAA Regional Championship, and finished as high as 14th as a team in the NCAA Championships.

The men’s track & field team has seen eight individual All-Americans and the women have 10 All-Americans. The cross country and track & field teams are led by 14th/15th year head coach Bernie Empie and host their home meets at Redman Stadium and in the Pettit Athletic Complex.
