Soft Seating Fosters Reading!

Sometimes, all it takes is a cozy place to sit to inspire a child to open a book and get lost in a great story!

The SFC Library is a favorite destination for students, who love curling up in the soft, comfortable chairs while enjoying their books. But with only four large soft chairs available, there simply isn’t enough seating for the multiple classes of 20 students who visit the library each day. Students often find themselves sharing chairs just to enjoy a comfortable spot to read.

Your Day of Giving gift will help the SFC Library add much-needed soft seating, creating a welcoming and inviting environment where more students can relax, read, and develop a lifelong love of books.

Strong literacy skills are essential for success in school and beyond, and providing students with an environment that encourages reading can make all the difference.

Help us give more students a cozy place to read, learn, and dream. Every chair creates another opportunity to open a book and discover a world of possibilities!
