His Legacy. Their Future.

More than a year ago, Billings Catholic Schools lost a great leader, educator, and friend—Mr. Shaun Harrington.

Shaun helped lead our schools into a bold new vision for Catholic education in our community. He oversaw the completion of the new St. Francis Catholic School, but he always said the building itself was not his greatest achievement. What made him most proud was bringing together three separate schools—St. Francis Primary, Intermediate, and Upper—and their unique cultures into one unified Catholic school community.

This was no small accomplishment. Shaun was uniquely qualified to lead this transformation, and his vision, dedication, and leadership established a foundation that will impact generations of students to come.

Following his passing on June 19, 2025, an incredible outpouring of support established the Mr. Shaun Harrington Memorial Endowment. As an educator at heart, Shaun deeply valued the teachers who pour their hearts into their students every day. He admired their persistence, determination, optimism, and commitment to helping children grow in faith, knowledge, and character.

Today, the endowment stands at $9,000, with a goal of reaching $25,000 in the future. Once fully funded, the endowment will provide $1,000 annually in perpetuity to support and encourage our teachers.
