Now five years strong, Bemidji State University's Day of Giving is a tradition that brings BSU alumni, students, parents, Beaver athletics fans and others together to make a major difference for students representing areas all across campus.
Mission accomplished: We crushed our goals for Day of Giving!
We are deeply moved by the show of community from Beavers around the globe in supporting the departments, programs and initiatives that mean most to them. Here's a breakdown of the midnight numbers:
- A total of 760 donors gave $180,825 before midnight (plus an additional $7,126 from 25 donors so far today). We hit our goal of raising $150,000 by 9:01 p.m.
- Donors chipped in from 31 states, plus Canada and Hong Kong. Minnesota (516 donors), Wisconsin (35) and North Dakota (24) led the way.
- Alumni made up 42% of our donors, but another 12% were from parents and 10% from faculty and staff. And 2% from students is way cool to see, too. That's Beavs supporting Beavs!
- If you weren't able to give on the day of, you can still make a gift! We still have a number of individual designations trying to reach their goals, and we want to look out for them.

We've reached our goal of $150,000 for Day of Giving behind a record 679 donors and counting! A giant THANK YOU to those who have donated!
