After student teaching ends, licensure and fingerprinting fees become the final required steps before entering the classroom. Your gift will cover those costs, so that future educators can transition seamlessly from student teaching into Minnesota school districts. Student teachers pay for 12 credits during their final semester, and many are unable to work during that time. The Minnesota teaching licensure application fee is $90, with fingerprinting costs ranging from $20 to $25. Bemidji State supports an average of 165 student teachers per year, all of whom must apply for licensure. Our goal is to raise $8,000.
