Gifts to InPsyT Program contribute to...

The InPsyT program aims to train and prepare American Indian students for careers in psychology at the undergraduate level. The program focuses on recruiting/enrolling a small cohort (up to 20 students per year) of American Indian students to major in psychology at Bemidji State University. Once accepted, we utilize culturally-based methods for retention towards graduation and preparation for graduate school and/or the workforce. The program aims to support students each semester, with the end goal of completing their degree in psychology, attending graduate school, and ultimately increasing the number of American Indian professionals in psychology.
Our Day of Giving goal is $10,000 to continue to secure student scholarships and campus speaker events, which are core to our program. We offer hyflex programming that students can experience in person, online, or by watching recordings. The speakers we invite are American Indian psychologists who are leaders in their fields presenting on topics such as historical trauma, indigenizing substance treatment, culturally-integrated care, ethics in research with indigenous peoples, courage and faith in educational journeys, and indigenous culture as medicine. Thank you for supporting us on Day of Giving 2025!
