Doug Barth, Class of 1991, is both a proud Baker alumnus and the University’s Director of Alumni Relations and his message for Baker Day of Giving is simple: participation matters.
With this year’s theme, Be Bold BU, Doug reminds alumni that it’s not about how much you give, it’s about showing up. Every gift, no matter the size, helps make the day meaningful and supports Baker students.
Doug is choosing to give back to the Baker art department, honoring the professors who influenced his journey as an artist and continue to impact his work and life today. Through alumni relations, he’s also seen firsthand how powerful the Baker community can be across generations.
Be Bold BU. Participate today.

As an undergraduate studying biology and secondary education, he discovered his passion for education. He earned his master’s in school administration in 2024 and is now pursuing doctoral studies in PK–12 leadership at Baker.
