The Augsburg Youth Theology Institute (AYTI) is a collaborative effort sponsored by Augsburg University’s Christensen Center for Vocation and supported by Lilly Endowment, Inc. We are raising funds to support the long term sustainability of this program beyond the grant and your donation will support programming costs of the AYTI.
AYTI helps young people learn how to practice vocational discernment. It is a community of young people learning to love themselves more fully, developing meaningful relationships across their communities, imagining a more loving world, and discovering how God is empowering them to create that world with others.
During a weeklong, on campus, immersion experience high school students engage in hopeful realism with a deep sense of hope rooted in the goodness of God. We believe that every single young person has been gifted with a manifestation of God’s spirit for the common good. They are each uniquely equipped and empowered to make our world and our communities better places.
We are committed to inclusivity and centering marginalized voices and prioritize learning from the worldviews, stories, and insights of the people who have been historically marginalized by society and/or the church. Our questions and curiosities lead us back to our traditions - both appreciatively and critically. We engage challenging texts, research, and data. We keep seeking meaning and truth through disciplined (academic) inquiry.
Your donations go directly to supporting young people in their vocational discernment!
For every $25 donation, you'll be entered into a drawing for Augsburg University SWAG!
Donate today - and invite all your friends to support the Augsburg Youth Theology Institute too.
