Diverse, Interdisciplinary Education
Prepare for a complex, changing world
Through a liberal arts education, students develop multiple lenses for looking at the human experience.
But it does much more; it helps you compete for a variety of careers in an increasingly complex and evolving world. The Association of American Colleges and Universities reports that 74% of employers surveyed would recommend a liberal arts education to prepare for success in today’s global economy. They want new hires with the skills that the humanities teach: critical thinking, complex problem solving, and written and oral communications.
The nine departments of the AUM College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, while diverse in subject matter, are united in their goal to prepare students for a work world where the rules seem to be constantly changing.
