This #GIVINGTUESDAY, Assumption is raising funds for the Brian Kelly '83 Challenge, a challenge issued by the Dick Corbett Head Football Coach at the University of Notre Dame and Assumption Graduate Brian Kelly '83 HD'12 which will support the installation of turf on Assumption’s Baseball and Softball fields. The best part of the Kelly Challenge is if Assumption can raise 1 million dollars for this project, Coach Brian Kelly will match it, doubling the impact of your gift.
The upgrade of these facilities will not only positively impact our over 500 student athletes, but also enhance the student experience on campus. Each year, nearly 900 students participate in over 30 different intramural leagues or tournaments and additional 325 participate in a club sport. From battleship to soccer and everything in between, intramural and club sports are an integral and essential piece of the student experience here on campus.
Our current facilities only allow limited time, typically late at night, for use by intramural and Club sports. Upgrading these facilities will not only allow more time for these student activities, but will also allow Assumption to offer more clubs and intramural sports tailored to the needs of our student population.
Can we count on you to help us meet our goal of raising $1,000,000 for the Brian Kelly '83 challenge?
