What is the College of Arts and Sciences?
The College of Arts and Sciences is App State’s largest college — housing 17 academic departments, two centers and one residential college, spanning the humanities and the social, mathematical and natural sciences. As we are largely responsible for Appalachian’s general education curriculum, we serve as the foundational experience for all App State students on their various academic journeys. If you are a graduate of Appalachian State, you likely passed through the College of Arts and Sciences on your way to achieving your degree.
