Support First-Gen Success on Appalachian State Giving Day!

Appalachian State Giving Day is March 26, and we’re rallying support for TRIO Student Support Services (SSS)—a program that has empowered first‑generation, low‑income, and disabled students at App State for more than 52 years. An early gift helps ensure these students have the resources, advocacy, and community they need to thrive.

TRIO SSS provides long‑term academic advising, year‑round mentoring, tutoring, financial aid guidance, career development, and a network of support that follows students from orientation through graduation. This past year, the program secured $1.7 million in renewed federal funding, but donor support remains essential to reducing financial barriers and expanding opportunities.
