Providing Essential Outreach To Children and Older Adults

The Appalachian Institute for Health and Wellness (App Well) expands access to critical health services, education, and outreach for children, adults, caregivers, and older adults across Western North Carolina. Our programs provide developmental evaluations, clinical follow-up, caregiver support, fall prevention and other initiatives to address unmet needs in rural communities. Many services are offered at low or no cost, making donor support essential to ensuring that financial barriers never prevent children or older adults from receiving care. In addition, our clinics serve as training sites for App State students from different health sciences programs–helping train the future healthcare workforce.
