Orange & Black Give Back 2023

During this year’s Day of Giving, join the AU community in launching students of today and tomorrow into lives of faith and service. Together we will send out more servant leaders shaped by our mission and core values because our world needs AU graduates more than ever.

Whether you support the AU student fund, important programs like the Center for Public Service, sports teams, or academic majors within the arts, the giving process is simple. Your participation is what really counts — no matter the amount.

We thank you for caring about Anderson University and AU students.  Every gift to AU matters and is appreciated. During this Day of Giving event, some areas of specific need are being spotlighted.

Day of Giving Challenges

1. When 300 people (½ way to the goal) give during Orange & Black Give Back, Jerry Kolb (‘58) will give $5,000 to the AU Student Fund.
2. When 600 people give during Orange & Black Give Back, Chris ‘00 and Dana ‘00 Byers will give $25,000 to the AU Student Fund.
3. When 200 Alumni give during Orange & Black Give Back, the Alumni Council will give $3,000 to the Alumni Council Endowed Scholarship Fund.
4. When 200 Faculty & Staff members give during Orange & Black Give Back, the President’s Cabinet will give $3,100 to the AU Student Fund.
5. When 250 Faculty, Staff, and Students give during Orange & Black Give Back, the SGA President will throw a pie at President Pistole.

For the AU Student Fund: 

An anonymous donor will match gifts to the AU Student Fund dollar-for-dollar up to $5,000. 

Frank ‘90 and Michelle ‘91 Runion will give $2,000 to the AU Student Fund when 200 people give to this fund.

For the Center for Public Service (CPS):

Vern '66 & Paula '66 Smith will match gifts to the CPS program dollar-for-dollar up to $5,000.

For Macholtz Stadium Turf:

Mike Weaver '85 will match gifts for the Macholtz Stadium Turf dollar-for-dollar up to $5,000.

Fred Fox '66 will give $3,000 for the Macholtz Stadium Turf when 30 people give to this fund.

For the Dance Studio & Gallery Space:

The Contos Family will match gifts 5 to 1 for the Dance Studio & Gallery Space up to $50,000.  Example: when you give $100 for this project, the Contos Family will give $500.  Your gift will have an even greater impact!

For the Spanish Certificate Program Scholarships:

Rev. Jim '68 & Carol '71 Cook will give $2,000 for the Spanish Certificate Program Scholarships when 20 people give to this fund.

For the Model United Nations:

Jerry Kolb (‘58) will match gifts to the CPS program dollar-for-dollar up to $5,000.

For the Golf Simulator:

Barry Hippensteel '70 will give $5,000 for the Golf Simulator when 10 people give to this fund.
