Gifts to Civil-Military Society contribute to...
The Civil-Military Society at Washington College of Law is an active chapter of the Student Veterans of American organization. Our mission is to foster camaraderie among the WCL military-connected community and the broader student body, faculty, and staff. Civ-Mil facilitates professional development and career preparation for its members and vigorously advocates for the needs and interests of WCL military-connected students. Above all, Civ-Mil serves as a “soft landing” for students transitioning from a career in the military through their tenure in education. This transition can be difficult, but with a support network, and access to resources, student-veterans are more likely to succeed and remain enrolled. Military-connected includes veterans, family members and friends of veterans, as well as those interested in pursuing a career in the U.S. military upon graduating from WCL. Gifts to this fund support the Civil-Military Society in their hosting of their two annual events: American University’s Veterans Day Celebration and a Judge Advocate General Information Panel.
