In honor of Professor Hunter’s retirement, the Professor David Hunter Climate Justice Fellowship was established in 2024 by Professor Durwood Zaelke, the Institute for Governance & Sustainable Development (IGSD), and devoted friends and former students including Romina Picolotti, Rida Derder, Nathan Borgford-Parnell, and Ana Maria Kleymeyer. This fellowship honors Professor Hunter’s lifelong commitment to mentoring students and advancing environmental and climate justice.
