• What fundraising can do for our team: AUWRFC is lucky enough to be able to play rugby at a competitive level with other schools and club teams. Part of what makes this possible is the funding we receive and the donations we collect in order to finance the less glamorous aspects of the game like transportation, tournament enrollment, and field reservations. Funding is particularly helpful when we are given the opportunity to compete at the national level and travel much further outside of the DMV area. As a team we also instill in our players that money should never be a barrier to playing. To do so, we allocate funds to make participation more accessible, and to ensure every player is able to be included in the sport.
